Should we go to Atlantis or Italy for our December honeymoon?

We are getting married in December 2008, still some time ahead. I’m trying to decide which of the two would be better for the honeymoon. Italy- weather: fair, price: cheaper in December, culture, history. BUT Atlantis is only 2 hours from New Jersey, resort, is the weather going to be warm enough? So many questions. I need some feedback! Thanks.
